After 5 years of personal practice, I decided to enroll and successfully complete the 200 hours provided by the Yoga Alliance, which are essential to start the profession.
The diploma was awarded to me at Yoga London LTD. (Www.yogalondon.net).
A few months later, in order to broaden the knowledge learned from the previous training, I flew to Mysore, India where, spending three months practicing and studying in depth, I obtained the 300 YTT degree at the shaan Yoga Aananda Yoga India.
I live in Rome and work as a freelance yoga and Pilates instructor. I recently graduated from the Faculty of Occupational Therapy, a faculty dealing with neuro-motor rehabilitation and, having as a prerogative to place the individual at the center of treatment, I is allowing a serious and competent approach regarding the knowledge of the person, understood as a physical-mental-spiritual unit.
From 2017 I am a certified teacher of Pilates Matwork at the BASI PILATES ITALIA school www.basipilates.com.

Walter De Maria, who has always been passionate about movement and the knowledge of the body in all its many aspects, has always dedicated himself to sports ranging from swimming, artistic gymnastics, to hip-hop, contemporary, classical dance and Pilates.
He graduated from the Margherita Biosecurity Institute of Rome, and then graduated in physiotherapy in 2003 at the University of Rome “La Sapienza”.
He trained in the workplace for many years in various rehabilitation centers and refined his knowledge in the rehabilitation recovery of neurological pathologies such as hemiplegia, parkinson’s disease, ataxia, multiple sclerosis, pathologies of the vertebral column such as hernias, protrusions, neuropathies, vertebral degeneration.
Since 2003 he has been practicing as a home and outpatient physiotherapist, he constantly follows refresher and training courses that lead him to get closer and closer to the field of orthopedic and sports rehabilitation, but without neglecting the neurological field.
Among his various professional experiences in the sports field, his role as a physiotherapist in the cast of the great production of the musical “Romeo and Juliet” was staged at the great theater in Rome.
Since October 2017 he has been a professor at the Lumsa University, teaching the post-university master’s degree in psychomotor skills.
It is formed and perfected in various rehabilitation techniques including Global Postural Re-education, the Cranio Sacrale technique, the Body and Conscious gentle exercise method, Manual Therapy, plantar reflexology and neuro-muscular taping.
In 2005 he trained as a Pilates teacher, following the training courses of one of the most famous international schools, Polestar Pilates, and after having taught the discipline in various gyms, he now teaches permanently at the Loft Studio Cerere in Rome. In 2017 he is certified as a Pilates Matwork teacher at the Basi Pilates Italia international school, attending international conferences held by the school’s founder Rael Isacowitz, a second-generation student of Joseph Pilates. In 2019 he completed his training with the Pilates BASI school, training in the Comprehensive Global Program, the complete training course with all the great tools of the BASI brand.
Continuous updating, both in physiotherapy techniques and in Pilates, provides him with continuous knowledge and in-depth studio of the methods, and therefore a more effective application for customers. The integration of the two disciplines allows him to have the tools for a faster recovery of the health conditions of each individual client.
The dance and the passion for the different disciplines of the movement are the basis of her professional training. After completing the degree course in Spanish literature, she enrolled in the faculty of physical education.
She began his career in 1984 with classical dance, at the “El cisne” school of S. Arrigoni. In 1996, after a brief interruption, she resumed his studies of classical and modern dance, which then turned towards experimentation with new languages and contemporary dance. During this time she studied and attended workshops with choreographers and well-known companies.
Since 2003 he has been practicing yoga and Pilates exercises together with his dance studios. She devoted herself for a few years to teaching contemporary dance until he began her path of training for teachers with Il Metodo® by Serafino Ambrosio, representative in Italy of Polestar-Pilates Education. Since 2006 she has been teaching the Pilates method, initially working at the first training school, alongside Serafino Ambrosio and in the most prestigious fitness centers in the capital. From 2009 to 2011 she practices Aikido with the maestro G.Tacconelli. From 2009 to 2013 she directed The Loft Studio, her first studio, at Sanlò.
In 2010 she started the shiatsu operator training and training for GYROTONIC® trainer, which ended successfully and for which in 2014 she also obtained the certification for the second level.
Always in search of new stimuli and updates, in 2014 she met the international school for teacher training of Rael Isacowitz, Body Arts and Science International with which she obtained the certification of BASI graduates. In 2017 he followed the training for Gyrokinesis® and in 2018 she obtained the certification for the teaching of Bootybarre® from Tracey Mallet
She currently directs the Loft Studio Cerere, opened in 2013, is dedicated to university studies and constantly continues her professional updating by participating in seminars and conferences recognized nationally and internationally. She follows its own search for movement through the practice of climbing.
